Is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Struggling or Not?
Just two months after its release, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth appears to be underperforming in terms of sales. The game is not selling as well as its predecessor, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, or as Final Fantasy 16 did last summer. The fact that it is exclusive to the PlayStation 5—which has a smaller installed base compared to the PlayStation 4—and carries a price tag that is $10 higher than what FF7 Remake was in 2020, may be contributing factors to its sluggish sales figures.
In other gaming news, a forthcoming patch for Dragon's Dogma 2 is expected to introduce important fixes, including one that addresses the dragonsplague illness. Additionally, Helldivers have shown remarkable efficiency, having completed a mission to exterminate 2 billion Terminids in less than 24 hours.
